This device really works! The people who say it doesn’t work because they can’t hear it don’t understand! I was given this as a gift. Not only does it work as promised, but it works very well!This product is like a dog whistle. It emits a sound that humans can’t hear. I don’t know the reason for the LED lights, but it doesn’t matter.I’m sure that some of the negative comments are because the reviewer can’t hear the high-pitched tone that only dogs can hear (cats, too!)My dog is a very loud and persistent barker. He scares most people and because he weighs 160 lbs., He can be hard to control when he barks. This device causes him to immediately cease barking and he then goes to lie down.I’m sure that it doesn’t hurt him, but the sound must be very alien and loud to him because he stops immediately!I’m happy with this device.By the way, you will need a 9V battery that is not provided.
